2018 Corvette ZR1 750 HP, Nurburgring and A Gas Guzzler Tax

2018 Corvette ZR1

Overview: 2018 Corvette ZR1

Okay, so who’s surprised a 6.2L supercharged V8, producing 750 HP gets the gas guzzler tax? The last of the front engined corvettes before going mid engine is coming with some serious balls. This crazy model could be released fall time this year and the gas guzzler tax is a sure thing. Proof will be provided below. In the meantime let’s just disscuss a the ZR1 a little bit more.

This high power, aerodynamically engineered, lightweight supercar could be a threat to some high dollar european offerings. It could potentially even take the crown from the ACR of being America’s best track car. This will certainly outperform the current Z06, which is a monster in its own right, but this has 100 horsepower on it, plus the addition of aero will certainly boost the track performance by a lot.

The most notable aero features being the big rear wing, more aggressive front splitter and an array of additional intakes. The 2018 Corvette ZR1 was recently seen testing at the nurburgring, in the snow no less. There is a possibility that it may only come with a manual, much live the previous ZR1 and the like the last gen ACR.

The next gen corvette, the C8 is supposedly has a twin-turbo V8, stepping away from the  supercharging.
